Medical Records Technician

Telecare 's mission is to deliver excellent and effective behavioral health services that engage individuals with complex needs in recovering their health, hopes, and dreams. Telecare has over 170 programs and 4,500 employees across the country, and we are constantly growing and opening new programs.

The Windsor Center is a short-stay crisis stabilization unit (CSU) that offers 24/7 services to adults and youth. The Windsor Center aims to increase access to crisis services, reduce inpatient hospitalization, reduce the amount of time that law enforcement is involved in a mental health crisis, and strengthen the existing outpatient behavioral health services.

Shifts available: Full Time (M-F, 8-4:30) and Per Diem (As Needed)

What are the qualifications? (Must Have)

  • 1 Year of EHR or Healthcare Info Sys Experience + Certification from RHIT, RHIA or AHIMA or
  • 2 Years of EHR or Healthcare Info Sys Experience + Completion of certificate program or
    Three (3) years of EHR or management of a paper medical record systems experience in a outpatient or community based healthcare program environment.

What will the job entail?

  • Monitors and tracks compliance with legal documents and correspondence with conservators/guardians
    Prepares and processes the clinical records of members served who are admitted/discharged in the Program
  • Audits clinical records for completeness and adherence to standards
  • Ensures that data is collected accurately and on time
  • Ensures that clinical staff understands the significance of inputting key data elements
  • Verifies accuracy of EHR data
  • Ensures that members served demographic and episodic information is documented within specified timeframes
