STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

We exist to help people with mental impairments realize their full potential.


MISSION STATEMENT

Telecare will deliver and manage excellent services and systems of care for persons with serious mental illness.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Diet Aide II performs a variety of kitchen duties related to meal preparation.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • One (1) year of experience as a Diet Aide I or the equivalent is required.
  • High school graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent is also required.
  • Necessary skills include the ability to work under close supervision and to maintain the expected work flow.
  • The ability to read, write and speak English is crucial, as the willingness to work among mentally disabled persons.
  • Applicant must be finger printed and receive clearance from Criminal Justice Department.

QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF WORK

  • Performs tasks correctly and according to policies and procedures.
  • Performs food preparation tasks as assigned, including:
  • Assembling prepared foods and assisting with cold food preparation.
  • Delivering food to client service areas and assisting with cafeteria service.
  • Gathering and assembling ingredients for regular and special diets from food storage, refrigerators and freezers.
  • Organizing and stocking the refrigerators and stockroom, ensuring that they are orderly and clean.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of a sanitary and orderly food service area, including if necessary, washing dishes.

  • TEAM MEMBER PARTICIPATION

    • Participates as a team member and provides input via reporting observations, concerns and asking appropriate questions.

    • Demonstrates knowledge and proper use of equipment and supplies.
