This walk aims to bring awareness to mental health and suicide prevention. It is a way to honor those affected by these conditions and work towards creating a future where everyone can thrive. In addition to the walk, there were many other activities for participants, such as making honor beads to remember loved ones and as a symbol of hope.
This year's walk raised more than $40,000 to help fight suicide in the Bay Area and across California. It is incredible to see everyone's support in working together to reach this goal. As the 2022 walk season comes to a close, the AFSP was thrilled to announce that six community walks came together to raise $361,652 and register 2,604 walkers dedicated to preventing suicide and supporting survivors of loss. This work makes a real difference, and seeing this level of support in our fantastic community is wonderful.
Thank you, Julie, for your generosity and for helping make a difference in such an impactful event!
