NAMI of Contra Costa County celebrated its 4th annual Crab Feed fundraiser on Saturday, March 7, 2020. Telecare was a sponsor for the event.
The event was hosted by Dave Clark from KTVU News and consisted of live music, a live auction, raffles, and a silent auction. The featured guest speaker for the event was Taun Hall, mother of Miles Hall. Miles was a 23-year-old man who suffered from mental illness and tragically died in an officer-involved shooting in Walnut Creek in June 2018. Taun Hall’s message promoted positivity, hope, and a demand for change in the mental health spectrum.
Telecare and Hope House staff in attendance included Clearnise Bullard, Hope House Administrator; Jennifer Hinkel, Vice President of Development; Shannon Taylor, Telecare Regional Director; Suzanne K. Tavano, Contra Costa Mental Health Director; and a previous client along with their family were also present as guests of Telecare. Hope House Clinical Director, Mark Tiano, currently serves on the NAMI-CC Board of Directors as the Treasurer.
It was a wonderful event and we are so happy we got to sponsor and partake in the festivities!
